🔥SSV LABS PROPOSED MAJOR DEVELOPMENT CUTS, AND THE DAO STILL OWES 1.74 MILLION SSV
Proposal DIP-59 (submitted Oct 21) shifts the focus from new products to maintenance, security, and Ethereum upgrade compatibility, with a commitment extended to June 30, 2027, as the DAO faces financial pressure. It’s only a proposal for now, and the DAO will vote on it. Should the DAO approve or reject it?
🔥REPORT TAXPAYER FRAUD, EARN A 1% COMMISSION: THE U.S. JUST LAUNCHED AN UNPRECEDENTED REWARD PROGRAM
On Oct 20, President Trump and VP Vance announced the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program.
Anyone who reports fraud involving federal taxpayer money can earn a 1% commission on the funds recovered, with no cap.
Example: recover $1 billion, and the whistleblower could receive $10 million.
There’s also a $25 million fund paying up to $30,000 for tips that lead to prosecution.
⚠️ But don’t get rich dreams just yet:
- The commission is based on money actually recovered, not fraud uncovered
- Trump says he’ll personally decide who gets paid
- How tips will be vetted is still unclear
The first recipient is YouTuber Nick Shirley, who gets $10,000, and the payout is already sparking debate.
🚨 TESLA AND SPACEX ARE CONSIDERING A MERGER, AND MUSK HAS SPOKEN
Both companies have formed special committees of independent directors to review the deal, with Musk sitting out due to a conflict of interest. He thinks it’s a good idea but says it’s far from certain: no terms or valuation have been agreed, and Tesla would need approval from 50% of all outstanding shares.
This is only the first step, not a done deal.
@CryptoThreadsX This highlights one of blockchain's interesting characteristics: transactions can be publicly traceable even when identifying the individuals or entities controlling the wallets requires additional investigation
