🚨 BREAKING : Emiliano Martínez fires back at England legends: “Talk in the studio, we’ll answer on the pitch.”
🗣️ “They say they’ll stop Messi? They’ve been saying that for almost 20 years. Teams have tried everything — double marking, triple marking, building entire tactics around him… and yet Leo is still standing with a World Cup, Copa América and a legacy nobody can match.”
🗣️ “They say England will block us and break us? We’ve heard those words before. Before Qatar, before every knockout game, people doubted us. We didn’t answer with words… we answered on the pitch.”
🗣️ “They say England have the better squad? Football isn’t won on paper. It’s won when the pressure arrives, and we’ve already shown we can handle those moments.”
🗣️ “Everyone talks about speed. I talk about character. When the game goes to the final minutes… when it goes to penalties… that’s where I feel at home.”
🗣️ “England have great players and we respect them. But they should never underestimate Argentina. We don’t carry pressure… we carry history.”
🗣️ “And Messi? The more people talk, the quieter he becomes. That’s the dangerous part. When Leo goes quiet, football usually pays the price.”
🗣️ “They can keep making promises into microphones… we’ll keep making memories on the pitch.”
Neymar on Messi changing the game for Argentina:
🗣️ “People will say they're surprised by what Messi did today, but for those of us who know him, this is who he has always been. Even after everything he has achieved in football, he still finds ways to amaze the world.
When the game becomes difficult and Argentina need someone to step up, Messi takes responsibility. He has this incredible ability to slow the game down, understand every moment and decide it on his own. That's something very few players in football history have ever possessed.
No matter how much pressure is on him or how hard the challenge may be, he always finds a way. That's what greatness looks like.
I've said it many times and I'll say it again,Lionel Messi is the best player I have ever seen kick a football. I was fortunate enough to play alongside him and witness his genius every single day. What people see on the pitch is only a small part of how special he truly is.
This is why he is loved so deeply in Argentina and respected all over the world. He doesn't just win matches for his country,he inspires an entire generation every time he steps onto the pitch.
Lionel Messi doesn't need to prove anything anymore, but somehow he continues to do the impossible. That's why he is Lionel Messi.”
🚨Djed Spence on facing Lionel Messi after the game against Argentina.
🗣️“We know this was going to be a difficult game so far for us, we’ve spend many hours in training just to stop him but I confirm it’s impossible after today’s game.”
“You can’t defend Lionel Messi for 90min, and that’s really true about him, growing up and hearing his name everywhere and watching him play in his prime seems to be unbelievable, today I’ve seen the most ridiculous stuff in football after facing him.”
“This isn’t his prime because he’s 39yr old, I imagine what I would be facing if this was his prime, a very unbelievable human being, he controls the ball a make a move with his body and you will follow it.”
“There was sometimes I just have to rest because I can’t stop him and that’s a fact Btw.”
🚨Lautaro Martínez was asked about Lionel Messi’s influence during Argentina’s World Cup semi-final victory over England.
🎙️ Reporter: “Lautaro, can you tell us what Lionel Messi said to you after you came on?”
🗣️ Lautaro Martínez:
“People see the assists, the dribbles and the magic, but they don’t see what Leo does with his words.
When I came onto the pitch, he walked over to me and said, ‘Attack the space between the defenders. Go for the headers. Keep making those runs.’
I tried it the first time and it didn’t work. I looked at him, and instead of telling me to change, he kept giving me signs to keep believing. He knew the opportunity would come.
We were 1–1 with less than five minutes to play. Leo looked at the scoreboard, then looked straight at me and nodded. He didn’t even have to speak. I knew exactly what he wanted. I knew the assignment.
That’s what makes him different. He sees the game before everyone else. He knows where the space will open, and he gives you the confidence to attack it without hesitation.
Playing with him is incredible because he doesn’t only create chances with his feet. He creates belief in every player around him.
At 39 years old, he’s still leading Argentina in the biggest matches, still deciding games and still showing us why he’s the greatest footballer I’ve ever seen.
We’re in another World Cup final because once again, when Argentina needed someone to guide us, Lionel Messi was that man.”
