I recently asked for teachers to provide me with feedback about our school. One teacher responded:
“When I feel trusted and valued, I feel like I’m personally more likely to step out of my comfort zone for the sake of my kids and my instruction.”
As a principal, I tried every day to make all students and staff members feel like school wouldn’t be the same without them being there (because school wouldn’t be the same without them being there).

In honor of a great educator, Sir Ken Robinson, your powerful message of creativity and divergent thinking will forever resonate in my teaching practices. Thank you. #CCSD93 @buchhos https://t.co/UUQRvwERvB
To be clear, there are no great decisions for superintendents to make related to reopening. In the end, I made the best "bad" decision I could trying to put student and staff safety ahead of all else.

I did a drive-by today, with Susan following behind, and went to all of our students’ homes to say goodbye for the summer and give them a gift. It was so wonderful to see all of them, even from a distance. Our hearts are full. #ProudToBeD93#CloverdaleElem@buchhos
@CCSD93 This is amazing! So glad to see so many familiar smiling faces!! Thank you to all of our subs. We couldn’t do it without you. You brought a big smile to my face. Love this!
A fun game of Kahoot for our wonderful staff. Happy educator appreciation week! Who will be there for you?
All of the above, actually. But especially the Cloverdale staff. Thanks for being there for the Cloverdale students: near or far! #ccsd93@CLPrincipalD93
