@EM_Writing Exactly! In the end I’m glad I read it, because I adore the main characters and the rest of the story about their growth and fixing the issues in their kingdoms, but certain scenes really turn your stomach, and the fact that they’re written erotically is the problem.

@EM_Writing And again, that does help cement the villain, but it’s written in a way that makes it seem that you’re supposed to enjoy it. The other characters in the court do nothing in my mind that makes up for it.

@EM_Writing I get that. The first book was too much. It’s like she spent the other 2 books trying to make up for it in a way. I really enjoyed the series at the end of the day, but I can say it was definitely despite the vileness in the first book.
