a rlly touching inter-generational book about assimilation, longing, and the millions of ways men pray on women. the ending made me tear up and the love between the characters felt so tangible it made me nostalgic for home

a fascinating metafictional book! a love letter to taiwanese food that beautifully explores the insidiousness of colonialism and the inherent power dynamics it creates in love and friendship
my ideal to read list for pride month!! one for each of 2slgbtqia :) i honestly think i’ll be able to read most of these but i feel ill probs end up dropping the french one 😭 i really want to be able to finish it but i have yet to be able to finish a french book so we shall see
posting this here for accountability purposes but knowing myself i’m going to be deleting this post halfway through june when ive read exactly one of the books lol
