I've been careful in my assessment of the chances of a war between Hezbollah and #Israel.

But with the attack in Beirut and death of al-Arouri we've never been this close to a full-scale confrontation between Hezbollah and Israel.

I am still not ruling out a more limited Hezbollah response, but contrary to what I have said, Israel does seem more than willing to take the chance of triggering a conflict.
