RBI के पूर्व गवर्नर रघुराम राजन ने कड़ी चेतावनी दी है।

30 बिलियन डॉलर के निर्यात वाला भारतीय दवा उद्योग बड़े खतरे में है। लाखों-करोड़ों लोगों का रोज़गार दांव पर है।

दवाओं के कच्चे माल के लिए देश धीरे-धीरे चीन के ऊपर निर्भर हो गया है। अब चीन कच्चा माल देने में आनाकानी करने लगा है।

भारत में बनी दवाएं 100 देशों में निर्यात होती हैं। पहले हम अपनी ज़रूरत का कच्चा माल ज़्यादातर खुद बनाते थे।

पिछले 10 सालों में चीन से सस्ते कच्चे माल के आयात की ऐसी लत लगी कि घरेलू कच्चा माल बनाने वाली सरकारी और प्राइवेट कंपनियां बंद हो गईं।

आज चीन के हाथ खींचते ही हम निर्यात तो क्या, दवाओं की घरेलू ज़रूरत की पूर्ति भी नहीं कर पाएंगे।
