Rest in power, Sumit. ✊🏾
Professor Sumit Sarkar, doyen amongst historians and the kindest of human beings, passed away. His contribution to modern Indian history is immeasurable.
Neha and Ameen’s remarks are a masterclass in democratic politics, reminding us that democracy is nurtured through the long arc of sustained movements, whose progress is often too gradual to register day to day and whose steady accumulation, in the fullness of time, bears fruit.
In politics, not just a year, even a single week can change everything.
Who could have imagined last Thursday that slogans like these would be raised at Delhi's Rajiv Chowk?
Kudos to SFI, AISA & AISF for their political astuteness in recognising the opportunity to reach and influence a wider audience of largely urban, depoliticised masses by standing in solidarity with their protest, not just with words, but with action.
10/10 political praxis.

Unmatchable work done by @SabarInstitute_ on SIR related data. Esp how it specifically targeted Muslims to disenfranchise them in West Bengal.

The Iranian national team’s response to Donald Trump:
“The World Cup is a historic and international event, and its organizer is FIFA—not any single country. The Iranian national team also qualified for this event with authority and through consecutive victories, becoming one of the first teams to reach this great tournament.
Certainly, no one can remove the Iranian national team from the World Cup. Rather, the country that should be removed is the one that merely carries the title of “host” but does not have the ability to ensure security for the teams participating in this event.”
Following the call by Samyukt Kisan Morcha rural workers and farmers from Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh, joins the action day to defend NREGA and #rejectVBGRAMG Bill. Rural India is giving a fitting response to the adamant @MoRD_GoI and @ChouhanShivraj
