Start with the strangest story of the day.

The Times of London reports the CIA and Mossad are hunting for Mojtaba Khamenei, who hasn't touched an electronic device in roughly 150 DAYS, communicating through layers of couriers carrying handwritten notes, and some intelligence officials believe he may already be dead while Netanyahu says he's alive.

Larry Johnson's warning about the hope buried in that hunt is simple: killing the last supreme leader is part of how America got here.

Then the mystery in Egypt.

The New York Times cites Iranian officials claiming the drone strike on the tankers as a warning shot, yet Egypt says it wasn't Iran, Iran's foreign minister denies it too, and Larry lands on the opposite theory entirely: "It makes absolutely no military sense for Iran to strike those LNG tankers."

You spend your missiles on the bombers hurting you, he argues, so ask who benefits from the story.

That fog is the pattern now.

Washington said every missile at Jordan was intercepted while impact footage circulated, and a Reuters report wraps the Iraq attack neatly under IRGC supervision while the accused deny it.

Meanwhile the hard facts do say something: hundreds of Jordanian politicians and lawyers signed a letter demanding U.S. forces leave, and tanker traffic is returning almost entirely through Iran's lane.

Why did Iran attack LNG tankers in Egypt?

Following the closure of the Bab el-Mandeb by Houthi forces, Saudi Arabia has sought to bypass the blockade by exporting energy through the Suez Canal. By targeting LNG tankers at ports along the Suez Canal, the IRGC aimed to demonstrate that Iran has the capability to disrupt any alternative export route. The message is that if the Suez Canal is used to bypass the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab to export energy to global markets, it could also become a target, just like the Bab el-Mandeb and the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's objective is to maintain maximum pressure on the global energy market by preventing any alternative route from bypassing a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Closing the Bab el-Mandeb and the Suez Canal alongside the Strait of Hormuz could disrupt approximately 35% to 40% of global energy flows, significantly impacting the New World Order.
