You can’t say you love someone and let pride stop you from apologizing, expressing yourself, or fixing things. At some point, you either choose the relationship or you choose your pride.
If you want your relationship to last then you have to be overly considerate of your partner's feelings. Don't brush shit off because you don't feel the same way. If it's a big deal to them then it HAS to be a big deal to you. You should expect the same courtesy in return.
