Years ago, I had information on an athlete that was going through severe mental health issues.

I had all the evidence I needed to write the story, and, being so young in my career, it would've gotten my name out there. I debated on it for weeks, even having a late night call with @ByTimGraham on whether it was the right thing to do.

I ultimately held the story because it benefited no one for it to he made public. And I'm so happy I did. Luckily, that story has never been made public.

Some things are bigger than the byline.
