It’s tough for women in their 60’s and 70’s to refocus the purpose of exercise to strength & health versus only body composition bc they grew up with society demanding they be thin and focus on the scale number. You want to live well and strong not just long.
People don’t need to be told what to do to be healthy nearly as much as they need to be told how and what’s the minimum effective dose. Provide suggestions and examples for practical application. “I know I need to exercise, how little and if what is best for my situation?”
You have a whole lifetime to be and accomplish. You will be a different person at different stages of life and there will be time for all of the “yous”. You don’t become and do it all by a certain age and live the rest of your life as that person. Current you is right on time.
Don’t put in your best effort only for the ideal outcome. Knowing you gave 100 per cent regardless of outcome is the reward. Because many outside variables are beyond your control, but your effort isn’t one of them.
The older I get the more I realize people need to see love in the form of grace. Most people are already in hell. Show them heaven. #forgiveness#bethechange#sanctification
As you fight what your body does, it puts you at odds with what it needs, sometimes to the point of danger. Learn the difference between your body accepting and not cheating behavior change, and it avoiding temporary or permanent long term damage.
@zeezles2 @Stox4Jox I wouldn't use Lupron unless it was last resort.
"Gender dysphoria" - more rightly called Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) - shouldn't be treated by Lupron any more than you'd treat an anorexic with semaglutide.
