@AerLingus I am visiting Dublin from the US and am waiting for a courier to contact me about my luggage. If I knew they were going to take so long I would have just come and picked it up ftom the airport. ref# DUBEI13792
I guess the Baylor Bio Department removed my post. Never fear, I took a photo for posterity. Just waiting for this so-called Baptist university to do the right thing.
Today is #WomeninScienceDay, and my former dept head just asked me if I would be ok being removed as a coauthor from a paper I worked on for more than a year. With the ongoing discussions about academic misconduct and abuse, I feel it's the right time to share my experience.
This happened during a prayer service at McLane Stadium. In the Baylor Lariat article, students prayed over the sign for the persons involved. I have a question. Why don’t they pray that people stop raping?
TEXANS: FEMA assistance is now available for you to apply at https://t.co/Jgmuz0LP3A
Make sure you take photos 📸 , keep all receipts 🧾, and document EVERYTHING you can to rebuild.
Thank you for hosting me, @RepSylviaGarcia! Extra gracias for sending me home with tamales 🫔☺️
I’m sure scientists love it when their big discoveries are parroted by other “experts” in the media. Just because the BBC thinks you’re an expert - doesn’t make you an expert.
@Dr_Rachel_Ren @DCrainium People’s voices were not heard. A rule was made with no broad discussion that others were aware of. That’s the real issue here.
@Dr_Rachel_Ren @DCrainium I’m talking about the grad students that form the leadership in the bio dept. I realize the two of you went through GSA - but she skipped over other leaders who got no say in the decision that was made. Not everybody is as self congratulatory about this new rule.
@Dr_Rachel_Ren @DCrainium There is no rule - even unspoken- that says grad students must feed people at their defenses. And coffee and donuts from Dunkin is $20 at the most. What is actually financially destabilizing is the exorbitant student fee we pay. Also, seemed like official channels were bypassed.
@Dr_Rachel_Ren @DCrainium I actually welcomed the opportunity at my PhD defense to show my gratitude to my committee, friends, and family. I don’t think a written rule was necessary to negotiate the terms of something personal to each student and their advisor.
