Thank you for the 28 September 2026 update on legal proceedings against violations of BTS’s rights. The company’s continued work against defamation, insults, sexual harassment, malicious disparagement, organized false information, and illegal ticket resale is noted and appreciated.

We are writing because the update, as published, does not address the concern many fans have raised in recent days. The alleged public threats of physical harm directed at Kim Taehyung, circulating on overseas platforms and tied in public discussion to the forthcoming Latin American tour dates, including São Paulo.

Those reports, if accurate even in part, fall outside the categories emphasized in this quarter’s notice. Defamation damages reputation. A threat of violence concerns bodily safety, the safety of the other members, staff, and audiences, and the company’s duty of care during a stadium tour. Treating the two as interchangeable leaves a visible gap.
We are not asking the company to litigate unconfirmed social-media claims in public, or to disclose operational security.

We are asking for confirmation that the following has occurred or will occur without delay:

1. Classification. Threats against an artist’s safety should be handled as a distinct category from insult, rumor, and IP infringement. The reporting portal already contemplates this. The public update should reflect that the company recognizes the distinction.

2. Evidence and investigation. Posts that name an artist, imply a time or place connected to scheduled performances, and describe harm should be preserved and investigated. Anonymity on overseas platforms does not remove criminal exposure, as the company itself noted regarding defamation. The same principle should apply more strongly to threats.

3. Tour security coordination. For the Latin American leg, we ask that the company confirm internally and, where appropriate, state in general terms, that venue operators, local promoters, ticketing partners, and relevant law-enforcement agencies have been briefed on heightened risk indicators. Identification and denial of entry for individuals who have published threats, where legally possible, is a reasonable request.

4. Public reassurance without operational detail. Fans do not need a security plan. They need to know the company does not regard this as “fandom noise.” A brief supplemental notice would close the gap this quarterly update left open, that threats of violence are being taken seriously, that reports already filed are under review, and that artist safety on tour is being treated as an operational priority.

5. Equal application. The company’s stated zero-tolerance policy should apply to any person who threatens a member, regardless of the narrative used to justify it. Safety is not a shipping dispute.

We will continue to submit evidence only through the official channel, https://t.co/EdYgnOlznq, and we encourage others to do the same rather than recirculate threatening material.
BTS’s legal protection and BTS’s physical protection are both part of artist rights. This quarter’s notice covered the first.

We ask the company to address the second before the Latin American dates proceed.
