One of the most fascinating species I came across so far at our @WSL_research campus in Birmensdorf - Leptorchestes borelinensis (🇩🇪 Großer Ameisenspringer), a jumping spider mimicking ants in their appearance and movement. Very similar to Synageles venator, but missing 1/2

The disregard or outright hatred of insects and their kin is a huge factor in the destruction of ecosystems. It’s not just going “ew bug” that’s bad, it’s devaluing one of the most important groups of animals on the planet. It’s fine if people don’t LOVE them, just respect them.

How sticky is water?
