@the_samuelUTD@FabrizioRomano There's no betrayal in wanting out. He didn't see out his contract also at City b4 signing for Atletico. Atlèti are just unnecessarily desperate and unfair.
@babyflaako@FabrizioRomano With the deals Barca have sealed so far this window, this comment reeks beef. Barca can afford two Alvarez. Let that sink in, bro
@SaadanyMoussa@FabrizioRomano That's unfair to a young man trying to choose what's best for himself. Clubs have a way of being selfish & wicked when players negotiate from a position of disadvantage.
@renoomokri You want us to assist you conceal the incapacities and criminalities of your paymasters, right?
Nigerians can only dance and laugh when things go right.
Dictator Perez can claim many things about Real Madrid, but the reality is that:
- They have gone 2 years trophyless, with 'the best players in the world'
- They have not been able to find a suitable replacement for Ancelotti
- The club are not in a good financial position after disastrous big-money signings
- They are constantly benefitted from refereeing decisions
Meanwhile Barcelona:
- Have the best young squad in the world, destroying Spain for 2 years in a row
- Having one of the best managers in the world delighted to work at the club
- On a path to economic recovery with plans to reduce the wage bill and get more revenue from the Camp Nou
- Constantly robbed by the referees in both La Liga and the Champions League
@renoomokri Dollar was officially #460 in May 2023 before the inauguration of the present government. Just a reminder. You may go ahead and juxtaposé that rate with the current rate if #1386/$ you're gloating over. We need to shun sycophancy and take over our country.
Dangote and Obi are both businessmen. The government regulates businesses to grow the local economy. So it's on same government to regulate what is imported and what is not, and definitely not Peter Obi. That's the truth about it.
The Nigerian Economy: Who Will You Believe? Dangote or Peter Obi?
The Dangote Group paid a total of ₦402.3 billion in taxes to the Nigerian government in 2024. Think about that for a minute. One man paid more taxes than any other geopolitical zone except the Southwest and South-South.
The tax that Alhaji Dangote paid is four times the ₦101.09 billion generated by the Southeast in 2024, and more than twice the ₦183.7 billion generated by the Northwest in the same year.
And it is from that ₦402.3 billion that the Federal Government can fund numerous infrastructural projects that benefit you and me.
But that is not the story. The moral of the story is that in 2022, the Dangote Group paid a total of ₦141.69 billion in taxes.
What does that tell you? It reveals to you that the amount of taxes paid by Alhaji Dangote has tripled from ₦141.69 billion in 2022, which was before President Bola Tinubu took office, to ₦402.3 billion today.
So, when Alhaji Dangote says that President Bola Tinubu's policies have stabilised the economy and that “we are also beginning to see some stability in the naira-to-dollar exchange rate, which has had a positive impact. There is now less fluctuation, and this has brought a degree of predictability to the market", believe him.
It is due to this predictability that Alhaji Dangote has been able to expand his refinery to become the world's largest.
And according to Mr. Dangote, "Africans should be very proud that one of them is freeing them from slavery."
Do not believe Peter Obi when he accuses the President of impoverishing 50 million Nigerians. Why? Because Peter Obi is the single largest individual importer in Nigeria, importing goods and services that can be produced in Nigeria actually contributes to importing poverty.
And if Peter Obi were right, then how come Nigeria went from a trade surplus of ₦1.206 billion in 2022 to a surplus of ₦29.58 trillion?
If Peter Obi truly means well for Nigeria, then he should emulate Alhaji Dangote and start manufacturing in Nigeria, rather than importing products such as tomato paste, biscuits, toiletries, and other items that Nigeria already produces.
When you import cheap goods, you destroy local manufacturers, eradicate thousands of jobs, and enrich foreign producers at the expense of Nigeria's economy.
So ask yourself this question: On the matter of the economy, who will you believe between Nigeria's largest manufacturer and Nigeria's biggest individual importer of foreign goods?
If Peter Obi wants to see who is causing poverty in Nigeria, perhaps he should look in a mirror!

@renoomokri Arewa against Tinubu is not an issue for Nigeria's unity and progress. On the contrary, it is the materialistic, transactional, unscrupulous and two-faced disposition of political jobbers like you that turn facts on its head for personal gains.
If you are a supporter of the coalition, Let’s grow together as we prepare to enter another phase of the coalition in few weeks
Drop your handle and ask for a follow immediately.
They really don't need governors with sympathy for à corrupt dispensation. What they need is Nigerians who seek and are ready to sacrifice for the goodness of Nigeria.
Not a single Governor has joined the so-called coalition—not even one. Rather, opposition Governors are falling over themselves to join Tinubu's result-oriented team. Even Nasir el-Rufai's first son was at the gathering that endorsed President Tinubu's reelection, while Peter Obi's son is in London, unconcerned about his father's ambition.
But compare both their sons to Seyi Tinubu, who is 100% behind his father. 100% of the time. Doesn't that tell you something? If your own son, who knows you best, cannot be bothered to be with you, why should others join you?
All states have seen their federal allocation double under Tinubu. They can now easily pay salaries and build infrastructure. Their indebtedness has reduced. The newly signed Tax Reform Bills will put even more money in their treasury.
And you are asking them to leave all of that and follow Nasir el-Rufai, the Butcher of Kaduna, who almost drowned Kaduna in debt? A man indicted for corruption by the Kaduna State House of Assembly?
Or Peter Obi. A corrupt fellow who refused to build even one single nursery, primary, or secondary school and university in his state because he was too busy keeping Anambra State Government funds in his bank to earn interest for his pocket?
More governors are with Tinubu in 2025 than were with him in 2023. Edo is with him. Delta is on the Tinubu team. Akwa-Ibom just came on board. Bayelsa is on the way. And others are negotiating.
It is looking more like the supposed coalition is actually a collision. And what are they colliding with? Failure, of course!

Thanks my brother. I commend your practicality. Direct and incisive, yet with all the requisite decency. Insensitivity has eaten deep into the fabric of our govt and its apologists that they now do anything to gaslight the unsuspecting and uninformed public.
Nigerians Deserve Better Than This Gaslighting.
Reno, with all due respect, this isn’t analysis, it’s a poorly disguised campaign flyer dressed up as a tweetstorm. You’re calling people out for being old, digging up 30-year-old quotes, and pretending like Nigerians are blind to what’s actually happening on the ground.
Let’s get something straight: You conveniently forgot to mention that the same David Mark you’re mocking was Senate President for eight years under a government you once praised. So which is it, was he good then, or only bad now because he’s not backing Tinubu?
Also, attacking Aregbesola for the religious school merger in Osun, which, by the way, was controversial but not as one-sided as you’re painting it, is rich coming from someone who supported a government that did little to solve sectarian violence across the country. Let’s not pretend you care about religious harmony when the argument is purely political.
Now to Tinubu’s “achievements”:
1. Debt reduction? Our debt looks smaller because the naira is in freefall. That’s not an achievement, it’s a warning sign.
2. Fuel subsidy removal? It was necessary, sure. But how do you justify doing it without preparing Nigerians? Prices have doubled or tripled, transportation is a nightmare, and you think giving out bags of rice solves that?
3. ₦70,000 minimum wage? Most states can’t even pay it. Many workers haven’t seen that raise. You can sign all the bills you want, if people aren’t getting paid, it’s meaningless.
4. No ASUU strike? That doesn’t mean the universities are suddenly great. ASUU’s silence isn’t approval, it’s exhaustion.
5. Infrastructure? Announcements are not the same as results. Nigerians have seen enough “flag-off” ceremonies without completion.
6. You also claim the opposition’s only goal is to bring down Tinubu. Guess what? That’s literally how democracy works. Criticism isn’t betrayal. Opposition parties are supposed to challenge those in power. Or are you saying we should all sit quietly and clap while the cost of food, rent, fuel, and transport crushes us?
People are suffering, Reno. Real, everyday suffering. Families can’t eat. Jobs are drying up. Businesses are folding. That’s the truth you’re conveniently ignoring.
Nigerians don’t care if a leader is 35 or 75, we care if they can lead. And right now, what this government is doing isn’t leadership. It’s elite survival, dressed up with selective stats and empty slogans.
So no, we won’t stay silent just because you or anyone else wants to protect their political godfather. Nigerians deserve more and no amount of flowery words or “TableShaking” can cover that up.
Let’s keep it real.
