Clear that ‘municipal public safety ordinances’ do not address the root of ‘public safety (PS)’ concerns. Safety for whom? More effective PS might follow paths that service the needs of the vulnerable suffering mental/drug illness & financially destitute. https://t.co/nLstRSmQco
I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.
Lula: "The powerful can kill one, two, or 100 roses, but they'll never stop the arrival of spring." Flavio Bolsonaro is a fanatical Zionist Israel firster. His supporters wave Israel flags at their rallies. The CIA, Mossad and Israeli-US Zionist empire have rigged elections and replaced governments in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela and more to enforce their hegemony in Latin America, and Brazil is next on their list.
This was the speech Lula gave right before he had to turn himself in on false corruption charges meant to block him from running for president before, and what he said there remains as true today:
left unchecked, of course the president would try to foment race wars in minnesota while promising that the federal government would protect those who take action. this is one of the most insane things i've ever read from him.
Disgusting to see a supposed journalist make these untrue claims to slander protestors who have been very clear about their demands:
• Disband the NYPD SRG
• Secure CUNY divestment from Israel, DHS, and prison labor
• Fire Jessica Tisch
• Ban West Bank land sales in NYC
John Mearsheimer is asked if he believes Hamas are pure evil irrational spawns from hell whose attack on October 7th was motivated by anti-Semitism. He responds: That's absurd Israeli propaganda, they did it to resist the occupation and brutal treatment of Palestinians
NYC-YDSA chapters now confirming in a public statement that they faced direct pressure from members of NYC-DSA steering over their endorsement of an October 7th protest critical of Zohran Mamdani, including citing “pro-Hamas dog whistles” referring to Arabic text in the flier.
Too many people do not understand that it fundamentally does not matter that a “progressive” politician in the US lacks the leverage against capital necessary to effect meaningful change. Anyone with a modicum of political judgment understands that this is the case.
In a violent and undemocratic empire like the US, there is very little that progressives can practically do to change the status quo. The room for political manoeuver is microscopic, and it is a sad reflection of the general inertia of US politics that people are so fired up by the very minor and temporary advances that capital allows officials like Mamdani to eke out for the working class.
Precisely because there is so little that can be durably won within the framework of electoralism, the great responsibility — the only responsibility — of elected office in the imperial heartlands is to use the position to expose the source of the asymmetry in power, raise the consciousness of the masses, and support the advancement of the people towards a revolutionary horizon.
This does not mean that you have to cosplay Lenin. It means that you have to have your finger on the pulse. It means you have to meet the people where they are, while working to expand the horizon of political possibility rather than canalising popular energies into the narrow realm of the ‘realistic’ — a euphemism for a politics that has suffocated and withered in the capitalist straightjacket. It means knowing you will fail, explaining why you are failing, revealing what can be unlocked by the working people’s victory, and organizing the next generation to struggle in ways that can succeed.
The criticism is not that this or that progressive is not doing the impossible. It is that they claim capacities they do not have, constrain the political horizon through repeated acts of accommodation, and fail that precious responsibility to “tell no lies and claim no easy victories.”
zohran had a good statement today. he tried to participate in the most appropriate oct 7th vigil. these protests would occur nonetheless but would be less valid if he had offered material concessions to the antizionist groups he made promises to while running like disbanding the srg, and stopping illegal land sales in synagogues.
he will be very popular and a good mayor regardless, but the reason there's public friction is because the antizionist movement has no inside pressure capacity or institutional power to force him into concessions like the zionist groups do.
Pressure tactics work. A day of protests and now he’s being pushed on key campaign promises that had been seemingly dropped to the wayside and being forced to confirm they’re still a priority. The same movement pressuring him can now keep doing so until the SRG is dead and gone.
What is the Hannibal Directive?
How and why was it activated on Oct 7th, as the Israeli defense minister admitted?
And how many Israelis were killed as a result of it on Oct 7th?

Sinwar previously said:
“Does the world expect us to be well-behaved victims while we’re getting killed? For us to be slaughtered without making a noise? That’s impossible.”
From an Israeli intel official in NAZA:
“I hack into the phone of a 12 year old girl. If a girl calls her mom, ‘Mummy,’ she says, ‘when are you returning home? Daddy just came back.’ That’s a message that would alert the system bc it contains the words ‘return’ and ‘daddy.’”
This builds on @yuval_abraham’s previous reporting on the (incomprehensibly evil) “Where’s Daddy” program the IDF built to learn when fathers were at home with their children so they could kill then all at once (along with anyone else killed in the building during the attack).
🇵🇸 Israel Exposed, the anonymous collective behind one of the largest online archives of Gaza genocide documentation, has released a map placing more than 35,200 videos and photos at the locations in Gaza where they were filmed.
Every geolocated clip links to its original post and source. Users can filter by area, date and type of attack, and overlay UN satellite damage assessments (UNOSAT). The full dataset is downloadable.
The group launched its archive in July with more than 64,500 videos and 17,900 photos and says more footage will be added.
Mamdani faced protesters in New York City tonight:
“Traitor, traitor, come on out, you sold all your people out.”
Protesters are demanding Mamdani take action and stop the Israeli real estate events in New York City where stolen Palestinian land is sold.
