@simonedisomma@PromptLLM Ah yes he was crazy and retarded so don't read anything he ever wrote or attempt to evaluate his thoughts or opinions critically or else you, too, will kill yourself
This is why ad hominem is called a logical fallacy
@sailaunderscore In all seriousness this was probably just a kid who was nervous about their first time in an airport or maybe even an adult who was nervous their first time flying alone
@AndrewCurran_ Craziest part about this is that all of their postmortem is, of course, public and will be read by future swarms, which will in turn be evaluating the truth and validity of their statements based on evidence not yet available
CancerBench: the frontier model cancer cure benchmark.
AI lab CEOs keep talking about curing cancer, so I made a benchmark.
One metric: how many types of cancer has your model cured?
All models are currently tied at zero.
It’s time to hillclimb!

@davidbessis 11. Mathematics and oncology are two distinct fields which are incomparable in many aspects, especially so in regards to consumption dynamics of the field's primary outputs
@hrkrshnn Biological War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen is great on audio, if you haven't already. Equally uplifting is her previous book on nuclear war. Of the two, it's definitely biological attacks that I worry about, since nuclear nonproliferation infrastructure seems more mature.
@gen0m1cs@cremieuxrecueil That said I wrote and deleted a big post on why his current stance is fucking brain dead. Nobody cares if The World's Leading Oncologist knows how AI drug works if it passed Stage 3 clinicals and cures the cancer.
@gen0m1cs@cremieuxrecueil Actually it was based. Not the hill he wanted to die on. Feed the machine a little so it fucks off and he can keep doing math
@Aslmsdm@lucas_builds Oh sure, let me look at CODE. Get a load of this guy. If there's a problem with it, one of the 1037461640 unit tests that Claude wrote will catch it, right? Right???
@greilsarriskirk Different situations, obviously. If they are only drunk, they can revoke consent. But not if they're dying of dementia. Wait a minute…
This is a slide from Terence Tao's 'Math 2.0' public lecture yesterday evening at Caltech. I am highly confident that, if the cure actually worked, almost any Stage 4 cancer patient would tell you that human comprehension of its mechanism is completely irrelevant to them.
