Some personal news: recently I got a bit of time-off and wrote a mini ebook on how to write NES emulator in rust-lang.
Check it out: https://t.co/P2DzHhQ1RT

@BotfaceKillah@unclebobmartin@DmytroKrasun Just check the repos. Most of them are low stake thin wrappers around powerful primitives that were created in pre-ai era (Javac, java parser, etc). Things like dry4java can be written without AI in 1-2 evenings. Opus and mythos can one shot it. Unclear why put them on GitHub
@dkreshikhin@gaxeliy Ok. I’ll bite.
@NickADobos He was producing slop decades before it became the mainstream :)
Just *actually* read his books and the take wouldn't be surprising.

Not impressed by Fable. Simple task - lsp based dead code detector for rust/typescript/swift/scala. Could not one-shot. What worse - could not detect false positives by reading generated report.
@eeuoss There are types of developers who like clean code: those who are not experienced enough to see how bad it is and those who read it long time ago when they were not experienced enough. The problem with second category: they havent reread it from cover to cover but keep recommending
A bunch of people have written me back saying this was the best newsletter I have ever sent (flattering) ... so here it is for those who don't subscribe: AI Is Not a Labor Crisis. It Is a Meaning Crisis.
@IbrahimAls9310 @unclebobmartin Respectfully, you shouldn't. One day you would realize that his takes on coding are also very bad.
