Shaka's last words:
"Ngeke nilibuse lelizwe lobuswa izinkonjane zezulu eziphaceka ngodaka" (You won't rule this world it will be ruled by the Heaven Barn Swallows that build nest with mud)
The Barn Swallows are birds that changes location due to the changing of season...
i don’t keep people around for convenience or benefits. if i like you, it’s because i genuinely enjoy being around you, not because of what they can do for me.
Finally a woman has said it.
If you text my boyfriend, I assume he gave you his number so you could text him.
If you call him, I assume he opened that door first.
If you’re chilling with him, I assume he told you where to find him and made himself available.
I don’t blame women for conversations they didn’t initiate or attention they didn’t invite. I won’t disrespect any lady, because she owes me absolutely nothing.
She didn’t make a promise to me.
She didn’t commit to me.
She didn’t look me in the eyes and choose loyalty.
My expectations are for him.
It’s my boyfriend’s responsibility to set boundaries. It’s his job to shut down what shouldn’t be entertained, to protect the relationship he chose, and to move in a way that leaves no room for confusion.
Respect isn’t something I should have to ask for or compete for. It should be automatic.
A real man understands that loyalty is not just about what he does, but what he allows.
He doesn’t seek validation from other women.
He doesn’t enjoy attention that disrespects his partner.
And he never puts the woman he loves in a position where she has to question her worth or look foolish defending what should already be protected.
Because a real man doesn’t just say he respects you; he proves it by the way he moves when you’re not around.
