I made a new Lit demo that shows how updates propagate down a tree.
When a parent re-renders, only the children with changed data re-render. Often only a small subset of a large tree has to update.
๐ฃ We're super excited to announce our newest Lit Labs package: @ lit-labs/signals!
๐ฆ lit-labs/signals brings the new TC39 Signals proposal to Lit, integrating them with Lit's reactive lifecycle for automatic component updates, and with Lit templates for pinpoint updates.
๐ Special thanks to @littledan @pzuraq @nullvoxpopuli and other Signals champions and community members for their hard work on the proposal. We hope it moves forward quickly!

Updated my PR to add a TC39 Signals proposal integration for @buildWithLit. I think it's real close now!
I've already been using a version of this integration in my own projects, and it's been really great. I'm excited to see how much more we can do!!

lit-html is all you need to solve the biggest problem with JS โ intelligent DOM rendering https://t.co/BxuakewMMQ
You can keep throwing string literal templates at the DOM and it will only update what needs to be updated.
The @buildWithLit community is so, so helpful on our Discord server. ๐ค
I love seeing people help each other with links to docs, specs, issues, code, and correct rationale for things!
๐ Cheers to the @reactjs team and contributors on achieving a perfect 100% on Custom Elements Everywhere with React 19 beta! The Lit team can't wait to see the amazing things everyone will create!
