@ssankar Comments like this fuel hatred for the US and its administration. Forcing people to expose their personal realities & state of mind just shows the US gov't is losing the battle of public opinion.
The Venezuelan Air Force's F-16 squadron has been decommissioned for over a decade. They're covered in dust, making them unable to fly. I see the Venezuelan Army playing defense, but I don't think they'll take the initiative to attack an army with superior firepower.
The imposition of one-sided tariffs is turning into a fairy tale, growing more bewildering with each passing day. It reminds me of "The Three Little Pigs" —with Canada, Mexico, and China playing the pigs, and the wolf representing the forces of uncertainty.
@PawlowskiMario Is this a copycat of Venezuelan #Chavez tactics that are spreading from its #Banana Republic origins, now adjusted for North America and Western Europe to conquer the world?
Are we seeing the rise of a new #Berlin Wall? Will #Europe be split among hegemonic #military powers again, with the division line drawn in #Ukraine or somewhere else in the heart of the continent? How will #China end up after #Riyadh talks? Scary!
@elonmusk This was what president #Trump referred to as External Revenue Service, a Sovereign Fund as large as the US government. This fund will manage over $1TN in diverse assets, with additional revenue from tariff increases. Stock values are expected to move upward upon its entrance.
@Claudiashein Interesante notar que la amenaza #arancelaria universal de #Trump del 25% parece no solo debilitar a los aliados y vecinos estratégicos de #USA, #Canadá y #México: sino que favorecería a #China, con solo 10% en rubros específicos.
It made me curious to think why is #China barely impacted by Trump's new #tariffs while #Mexico and #Canada face severe consequences? Think about it. Although the US #trade imbalance with China is larger than with MXN and CAN, China seems unaffected by these unilateral tariffs.
For what I've experienced lately, people seem to overlook Alibaba's #Qwen2.5, their bid for global #LLM dominance. After extensive testing, I find Qwen2.5 arguably outperforms #DeepSeek -and all the global AI heavyweights, in many ways.
People worry about DeepSeek's development cost, but I've lived similar doubts. In 2014, I led a team in Venezuela building a personalized tasks app at a Facebook quality level, for ~$400k. It seemed unbelievable to Silicon Valley standards. Overseas can be cheaper and resourceful
@elonmusk@DOGE#Corruption is ubiquitous. It hides behind manufactured political-motivated wars, giving #governments a free pass to hand out bid-free contracts. #Corporate America mirrors this thru pre-assigned stock donations to NGOs, foundations, public school districts, and campaigns.
Many haven't noticed that Trump's new #tariff plan on trade, mirrors how stores charge brands for shelf space. A #tax on exporters that will now pay 25% upfront via something #Trump called the External Revenue Service, before their goods enter U.S. ports.
It still amazes me that #SVB has been shut down. If any #bank could get back on its feet, that was SWB. It's hard to believe it was gone in a matter of days. It made me think that the only true value of any bank run for the people is that #decentralized#banking is the way to go.
As three US #banks have experienced #runs, it begs the question of how many #crypto#investors are behind the sudden demand for #USD, seeking to leave their positions in crypto before it crashes.
The direct #investment of #Chinese companies, as well as American behemoths, in the #Mexican economy should be the primary reason for the Super Peso's strength. The majority of investment is focused on developing new infrastructure to bring the US market closer via nearshoring.
For those thinking about #Mexico as a third-world country, the MXN has reached new highs against the USD. Today, a US #dollar can be exchanged for MXN$ 17.97. Following, you can read my article on the prospect of #CDMX becoming the Hub of the Americas: https://t.co/BHrHzX5mfJ
@elerianm Since Morocco occupied Spain for a bunch of generations -800 years, how truly Spaniards descendants are Latin Americans with Spanish last names? My grandma from Canarias islands -60 miles west of Morocco, had an arabesque look. Should we latins root for Morocco in the World Cup?
