A British surgeon who treated dying and injured children in Gaza says his evidence of war crimes has been ignored by the UK government and media.
Professor Nick Maynard’s experiences have been captured in a new documentary called Life Support, which comes to cinemas in the UK this month.
Speaking to Declassified co-director Mark Curtis, Maynard said much of his work has been overlooked in the UK though he and other doctors have tried to highlight what they witnessed in Gaza.
Life Support is in cinemas from 10th July, find a screening here:

A compilation of how senior Labour figures refused to support the upholding of international law as Israel killed 10,000 Palestinians during the first month of bombing👇
Andy Burnham has said Labour got it wrong on Gaza, but people want action, not words.
Will Burnham support a public inquiry into British involvement in the Gaza genocide, as Your Party and Jeremy Corbyn have called for?

The arms trade is a corrupt fraud:
A former head of NATO working for a firm that promotes arms sales gets to invoke fear as though he’s an independent expert. Defence budgets increase by billions. Arms companies make a fortune. Individuals like this profit. Our politicians and political parties get big paydays. Corrupt to the core and we are paying for it all.

I've just watched @OrlaGuerin's report from Venezuela on @BBCNews. I was disappointed that she made no mention of the US sanctions against the country, which are compounded by the UK.
The white working class aren’t oppressed because they’re white. They are oppressed because they are working class.
They are oppressed by millionaires in slick suits and 5 houses, like Nigel Farage.
"I don't back away from the original decision. I think it gave 20 or so million people in Iraq hope of a better life and you just cannot walk away from that truth"
—Andy Burnham in 2010
By this time, a million Iraqis had been killed by the criminal British invasion he supported
"I'd be proud to follow Tony Blair's lead," he continued
Psychopath
Front page of The Times: Andy Burnham’s first big announcement about his approach to leading the country is that he would be willing to cut benefits to fund the defence budget, with the usual ‘rights and responsibilities’ fluff about more work opportunities. This terrifies me.
