This week the Senate took an important step for #MarylandHousing with SB31.

The bill improves predictability in the development process by requiring annual school capacity updates and preventing APFOs from stalling projects at early stages.

The Senate has passed SB325 – the Maryland Housing Certainty Act.

This bill brings much-needed predictability to housing by ensuring rules remain consistent once a completed application is submitted and by delaying impact fees until final inspection.

MCPS's decision on Wootton High School isn't about protecting one community or advancing another. It's about doing what’s right for the entire school system.

Yesterday, the Maryland Building Industry Association (@buildmd) sent a letter to the Board of Education urging MCPS to "reject Option H" warning that Option H would permanently reduce high school capacity in one of the county’s fastest-growing areas and constrain planned residential development critical to Montgomery County’s long-term housing and economic goals. https://t.co/XUuZBNUoFh

When countywide business leaders are warning that Option H causes delays, increases costs, and undermines long-term planning, MCPS should reject Option H and choose a solution that is fair, fiscally responsible, and sustainable for every community.
