@DmitryBBLV For trial abusers, requiring a card or verified work email at signup kills most of the abuse.
Then flag suspicious accounts for manual review instead of auto-banning protects real users from false positives while still stopping the freeloaders.
Building a SaaS taught me: not every user is a real user.
Spammers
Phishers
Trial abusers
People who only join to pitch your customers
How do you handle them without hurting genuine users? 👇

@OrbanPeter3 Appreciate it! Right now the biggest time saver has been a hard 14day trial with no card required+automatic soft limits on invite/export features for free accounts. Cuts most of the noise without blocking real users who are actually testing the product
What rule has worked fr u?
@bowora_com Yesh, Email verification alone isn’t enough anymore a lot of spam accounts still get through. Adding that short waiting period on DMs/messaging kills most of the low-effort bots without making real users wait too long. Have you tested different time windows (24h vs 72h)?
@Seozilla_ai Incremental friction is the move.
Let them in free give a short trial then require phone/SMS or light verification before unlocking more value.
Bots and abusers bounce. Real users barely notice.
