Milelogix is still a maintained product but I'm now doing hands on software development consulting.

@cheeseplus@lizaledwards Great show. I remember watching an interview with the late Patrick McGoohan in which he said he still had no idea what the show was about up until the very last episode.
Side note: Used to get nightmares of being suffocated by the Rover.
@bryanl This might be a misperception on my part but it felt like a lot of the technical posts on Usenet had greater substance than Stackoverflow and the like. I learned a lot in my early days just perusing listserv threads and newsgroups for this kind of information.
Wondering how much more of a tire fire this platform is going to become.
Haven't had time to switch over to that *other* more open platform that uses ActivityPub.
@cheeseplus I never got to play Mass Effect when it was originally released. Got the legendary edition for PC and recently finished the first one. ME2 is interesting so far.
The beauty of not taking any affiliates or sponsorships is that I get to freely speak my mind, without worrying about upsetting someone who pays me money.
ClickUp reached out, asking if I would become an affiliate and recommend them. My response:
@bryanl 🎶"It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll"🎶
In all seriousness, lots of learning, listening and grinding through various problems both human & technical. Didn't get my first senior title until I had 7 years under my belt which was for the best.
In light of recent recent events I'm seriously considering deleting my Twitter account. Mastodon isn't a replacement but its decentralized architecture appeals to me.
@seclectech Can we also add unsanctioned and impromptu Nerf gun battles to the mix?
I've worked for two companies where getting shot at by a Nerf dart was the norm.
So weird to see companies work so hard to convince an employee to stay after they’ve already put in their notice. There were probably dozens of times you could have stepped in before it got to that point; a meager raise isn’t going to help now.
