@JamieRumbelow and I have decided to close down Tract, the startup we've been working on for the last year and a bit.
We've written a post mortem going over what we've learnt. Link in the reply.

We've made some updates to our map of British planning data.
You can now see DNO powerlines and planning applications in certain places.
Adding coverage for the rest of the country very soon!
On Friday we launched the first version of Scout, our free tool for visualising planning data and infrastructure data. Lot's more to come - but hopefully you find what's up there now quite interesting!

🚀 Investment Announcement🚀
We are thrilled to announce that Ada Ventures has invested in @buildwithtract, a prop-tech startup using AI to revolutionise the process of obtaining planning permissions for real estate development. We co-led Tract’s pre-seed round alongside our friends at @ConceptVC_
Read Why we invested in Tract: https://t.co/0XzIVEU436
Tract is the first explicitly “YIMBY” prop-tech company that's making it easier and cheaper to find land suitable for development. This innovative approach could have a significant impact on solving the housing crisis, making homeownership a reality for many.
The Tract team, led by co-founder and CEO @JamieRumbelow and co-founder and CTO @hcndashwood, is dedicated to using technology to address the housing problem and create positive societal impact. Their sophisticated planning engine simplifies the complex process of obtaining planning permissions and has the potential to unlock a completely unserved market of smaller land parcels.
We are excited about Tract's potential to help millions of people become homeowners and bring down rents for struggling families, aligning perfectly with our economic empowerment thesis. We see the immense societal value in their mission-driven approach to solving a critical social problem.
Stay tuned for more updates on Tract's journey as they continue to develop their technology and work towards delivering significant social impact. We are proud to be a part of their mission and can't wait to see what the future holds!

🚨 NEW: Tenants paying FOUR TIMES as much as homeowners on housing
Make no mistake. This is a direct consequence of our political class' abject failure to build any homes.
Every year we don't build more homes means higher rents for struggling renters.
