I was working on a new project for a client.

I estimated 8 hours for a new booking system. It took 18 hours.

I had built this kind of workflow before. I had Claude Code the whole way, but I still was off by my estimate by more than double.

If I had quoted off my estimate I would have charged $800 and worked ten hours for free.
