Last year, I ran Modafinil for a few weeks, mostly because I was doing shift work and constantly alternating between day shifts and night shifts.
Holy shit.
To this day, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more switched on in my life.
The focus was one thing, but it was more than that. I actually woke up excited to work. Excited to learn. Excited to build things. My brain felt like it was operating at a level I’d never experienced before.
It wasn’t some euphoric high. It just felt like the version of me that had zero mental resistance between having an idea and acting on it.
When you’re bouncing between days and nights, you’re usually fighting fatigue, brain fog, and feeling half asleep all the time. Modafinil made me feel like none of that existed.
Lately I’ve been getting that itch to try it again...
I can’t wait to be a dad one day
A son would be awesome, but if I’m being honest, I’ve always felt like I’m meant to be a girl dad 😂
Maybe it’s because growing up I watched my own dad with my sister. No matter how old she got, she was always his little princess. There was just something about the way he looked after her that was different. That soft spot never went away
I’d love to have two girls who grow up together, become best friends, and always have each other’s backs through life
A boy would be incredible too, but something tells me I’m destined to be a girl dad 🧑🧒🧒
I’m genuinely so grateful my parents somewhat understood that childhood habits shape the adult you become 🙏
They constantly would have me chewing tough foods, staying active, sending me outside in the sun to play, and eating mostly real food long before I appreciated why
Looking back, those small decisions made a huge difference 🙌
One day, when I have children of my own, I’ll be that father too. The greatest gift a parent can give isn’t comfort, it’s setting their child up for a strong, healthy future.
One thing I’ve learned is that eating healthy doesn’t have to mean living like a monk 😂
These days I keep it pretty simple. Mostly whole foods, plenty of protein and fibre, fruit, eggs, meat, rice, potatoes, all the boring stuff that actually makes you feel good.
And then every now and then I’ll have a few squares of chocolate because life’s meant to be enjoyed too lol.
The funny thing is, once you start eating mostly real food, you actually start craving it. I feel better, look better, and have way more energy throughout the day.
A little bit of chocolate here and there, a solid diet the rest of the time, and honestly I couldn’t be happier with it.
Wow 😂 you’re really keeping that DHT low, huh?
That’s actually reassuring to hear though. I’ve been on finasteride for almost a year now and the only side effect I’ve noticed is an increase in libido if anything, which is pretty funny considering all the horror stories online lol.
I’m thinking about making the jump to 0.5mg dutasteride soon just to see what it does. Have you found it noticeably better than finasteride overall?
Yeah I’ve wondered about this too.
From what I’ve seen, some guys seem to get noticeably less oily skin after starting dutasteride, while others don’t notice a thing.
My guess is it just comes down to individual androgen sensitivity more than nationality. Two guys can suppress the same amount of DHT and have completely different changes in their skin.
One thing I’ve noticed from reading countless dutasteride experiences is how many guys seem to develop that “glow” after starting it.
This guy below was 20 years old in the first image and in the second one, he’s 29‼️😦
The theory makes sense. DHT doesn’t just affect your hair follicles, it also plays a role in sebum production. Lower DHT can mean less oily skin, fewer breakouts, and a smoother overall complexion for some men.
Right now I’m only on finasteride, which is essentially the weaker version compared to dutasteride. My goal was to see how my body reacts to DHT suppression before considering anything stronger.
No side effects so far, which has been encouraging. 🙌
Hair is obviously the main reason people take these medications, but the skin changes some guys report are almost as interesting to me. Curious to see what happens if I eventually make the jump to dutasteride. 🤔
We’re officially halfway through the year, and for the rest of 2026 I’ll be spending a lot of time going from consultation to consultation, putting together a solid plan to improve my appearance as much as possible.
I’m looking into things like jaw and chin filler, making my eyebrows darker and fuller, getting my teeth as close to perfect as I can, possibly a minor hair transplant, and a few other treatments I’ve been researching.
None of it is a spur-of-the-moment decision. I’m taking my time, talking to professionals, getting different opinions, weighing the pros and cons, and figuring out what’s actually worth doing.
A lot of people say they want to improve their looks, but not many are willing to put in the time, money, research, and patience to do it properly. I am.
The goal isn’t to become someone else. It’s to get the most out of the features I already have and see how far I can push my potential.
A year from now, I want to look back and know I gave it my best shot.🫡
Mimi-san!!😂
Now I feel like we’re just taking turns complimenting each other at this point 😂
Seriously though, thank you. Knowing that you’ve actually taken the time to read my posts means a lot.
The funny thing is that I used to just write all of these thoughts down in my notes app and never show anyone 😂 One day I just thought, “Why not start posting them on X and see what happens?”
As for AGA, that’s actually a topic that’s very personal to me. I’ve experienced it myself and managed to overcome it, so now I just try to help other guys who are going through the same thing. Hair loss can be a pretty stressful experience when you don’t know where to start.
Also, I’m going to DM you!! 😂 These replies are starting to turn into full blog posts at this point hahaha
Haha, now you’ve made my day, Mimi-san 😂🙏
And thank you for the compliment! Even with that compliment, I’ll probably still spend the next few years obsessing over jawlines and side profiles 😂
I think you’re right though. Beauty is probably one of those interests that never really leaves you. The focus just shifts from major improvements to refinement and maintenance
That said, if you’re still sharing beauty advice 20 years from now, I have no doubt your account will be one of the biggest beauty accounts on here. The amount of knowledge and thought you put into your posts is genuinely so rare 👏✨
Thank you, Mimi-san 😊🙏
I think “complete” is impossible for people like us 😂
I do have a rough goal for the next few years, but I’m sure that goal will evolve as I learn more.
That’s actually why I’m such a fan of your page. It’s not just the beauty advice, it’s the way you approach improvement in a very logical and disciplined way 👏✨
- to also add on, If baldness was caused by insufficient sun exposure, construction workers, farmers, surfers, lifeguards and every guy working outdoors would all have perfect hairlines. 🤷♂️
The wellness space has reached a point where someone can invent an entire evolutionary theory in their head, provide zero evidence, and thousands of people will treat it like a peer-reviewed discovery.
Hair loss is largely genetics and DHT sensitivity.
Not a solar panel deficiency.
going bald is an adaptation to get MORE sunlight.
you lose hair, to expose more of your body to the sun.
studies show that hair loss evolved to reduce prostate cancer risk, because sunlight is KEY for preventing cancer.
if you get lots of full body sunlight, you wont go bald.
this is why homeless men and surfers rarely do.
In terms of my jaw and chin 🧏♂️
I actually think I have a pretty decent base to work with already. My jawline isn’t bad, my chin isn’t weak, and I’m not starting from a terrible position by any means.
But then I look at photos like the second one and become obsessed with how such a tiny difference can completely change the look of a face. We’re talking millimetres, not inches. A slightly stronger chin projection, a little more forward growth, a sharper transition from the jaw to the chin, and suddenly the entire side profile looks more balanced and powerful.
That’s what fascinates me about aesthetics. People who aren’t interested in this stuff will look at two photos and say they look almost identical. Meanwhile, the people who pay attention know those small differences can completely change the overall impression.
It’s funny how a few millimetres of bone, filler, or projection can be the difference between “looks good” and “damn, that’s an elite side profile.”
