AETAS, FARMERS STAND VS PAX SILICA

Leaders of the Sapang Kawayan Aeta community and farmers hold a press conference on Thursday to voice their opposition against the controversial Pax Silica hub project, which is proposed to be constructed in New Clark City, Tarlac.

According to the leaders, they have documents which show their claim over the ancestral lands, which will also be part of a signature campaign opposing the initiative.

Just want to say, even academically, that Batanes argument is incredibly stupid. Even geologically, the Batanes islands are part of a volcanic arc that extend southwards to Luzon, to Mt. Cagua in Cagayan. Batanes and Taiwan are separated by a deep sea channel. Makes no sense.
