Movie 21 - Godzilla Raids Again

My god, those monsters? They were brawlin'

A huge step down from the original, but I will admit that those miniatures and puppets were just so precious.

The lore of this being a different Godzilla through me for a loop. Love that goofy goober

Movie 20 - Abigail

Had no idea that this was a horror comedy, that caught me off guard and had so many funny scenes.

Really wish marketing didn't ruin the surprise with Abigail from the very beginning, but regardless, all the characters and acting were great!

Movie 19 - DeadTime Stories

This has a bopper of an intro.

These anthology movies need two versions. One showing the stories, and the other showing the person telling the stories as they give all of the excruciating details as to what's happening. What I wouldn't give for that.

Movie 18 - Friday the 13th

An absolute classic. If this as one-and-done, it'd be fondly remembered today as a very campy movie with a surprising killer. We all know where this goes, but this really is a great introduction for the series.

Movie 17 - Oculus

Trust. That's the toughest concept for so many people. This movie embodies that idea to its fullest intent. You don't know who to trust, what to trust, and heck, even when to trust. I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would, and that ending is a doozy.

Movie 16 - Puppet Master II

The puppets were awesome!

Movie 15 - Inner Senses

Even though the central theme was about mental health and confronting your past and present, it felt like they could have done so much more with that. Some high marks are the visuals, which give some pretty good scares, and the acting from the leads.

Movie 14 - Here for Blood

It takes literally half the movie to finally start kicking in, but when it does, it's a lot of fun. The low budget is felt in a lot of areas, but the pandemonium later on makes you forget that and just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Movie 13 - Nope

That was great! It felt like a roller coaster of feelings and emotions, but it all came together so well. That reveal and event about midway through caught me off guard, and it was fantastic! And that ending was so dang satisfying.

Move 12 - The Conjuring 2

I wonder if all of those trinkets they get can be used like pokeballs.

The peaks don't hit quite as high as the first one, but tonally, it's a bit more consistent throughout. And there were a fair amount of scenes early on that were quite impressive.

Movie 11 - The Blackening

Horror comedies have quickly become one of my favorite genres, and this movie is definitely up there. The comedy was great, but it was kinda lacking in the horror aspect. However, this was just so fun the whole way through

Movie 10 - Exists

The Blair Squatch Project

We know we're all hear for the Big Foot action. That part honestly doesn't disappoint. What makes it lacking, is that you don't care much at all for the characters.

I would have loved if Big Foot grabbed a camera and started vlogging

Movie 9 - Train to Busan

Moral of the story: Just don't trust COOs.

Some of the best zombies that I've seen in awhile. You quickly get attached to the characters and are rooting for them every step of the way, chance for tears is high. Such a fantastic movie all around.

Movie 8 - Fear Street Part III: 1666

A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, but the first major chunk of the movie was drawn out way too long. It was great seeing everything come together and be revealed by the end. As for the trilogy overall, it was pretty fun!

Movie 7 - A Chinese Ghost Story Animation

A unique blend of animation styles for its time with some pretty impressive hand drawn animation on top of that. It's not like the original live action from 1987, which I absolutely love, bit its own take on the story. The dub was solid

Movie 6 - The Haunting

The sound design alone makes this feel like such a haunting and alive house. The literal heart beating and breathing that follows from the house gives such a terrific freight.

This movie by far excels at the old adage that less is more.

Movie 5 - Stree 2

These movies are just plain fun. I wouldn't say they are overly funny or overly scary, but it's a good mix for the type of movie that this is. Even with the pretty long running time, I didn't feel bored or disinterested.

Early on in watching Dracula, constantly hearing "Mina" reminded me of those shorts from the 90s, "Mina and the Count". Really got to watch those again. I remember really hoping they would make it a series back then.
