A note from our founder and CEO:

Bumble = women-first.

Women-first has always been our promise. Women sending the first message was how we brought that mission to life in 2014, solving the problems women faced in dating then: unwanted attention, and too little agency. Today, women are telling us the problem is different: too much passivity, too little effort and too much pressure to carry the connection. We evolved the mechanic, not the mission. Now anyone can make the first move, but they only get one message, so they need to make it count. Working to reduce a stream of unwanted messages while encouraging more intention and effort. We will keep listening to women and never stop building solutions for them. The product will continue to evolve to help people move offline and build real connection. Our commitment to women will remain, because when you build for women, you make it better for everyone.
