Anyone else notice the crew guys on the 87 with a pop rivet gun out trying to fix these stupid bolt on wheel covers on the open red? Most pointless rule sense the useless fire bottle.
The Work Area:
Mandated time eats up the program waiting for someone to fix their shit box. Meanwhile 22 other cars are idling around the track for 2 mins at a time waiting. 2 laps later we repeat the same scenario. Kills the whole vibe of the race for me. I also believe it drives the cost of racing up
Provisionals:
If you didn’t EARN your way in you don’t deserve to be on the track. Sometimes you have a bad night, grab a hot dog and watch the feature
Entry Fees:
I assembled a race car at a cost of $50k-100k, drove it halfway across the country to a track, paid $40 per person to enter the pits, now you want another 20 or 30 bucks from me to put my car on the track. The track in which you sold tickets, pit passes, and streaming rights to other people to watch these cars race. Probably sounds stupid but i refuse to pay entry fees after I’ve paid for the car, the diesel, the pit passes, the membership fee, and all the other costs to race. And then have someone walk over and hand you stickers that you“have” to run these on your car. If the driver wants to race they have to go up and pay the entry fee. Its a principle thing for me 🤷🏻♂️😂
Don’t fix tail tank shells. Why should the manufacturer be responsible for making a product that is not jb welded together. Make the teams pay for and figure it out. Makes sense.
