Beginning my #100DaysOfJavascript journey today.
I’m looking forward to daily stand ups and the build in public experience.
My goal is to achieve consistent streaks of coding or learning, so help me God.

@chippercashapp it’s been two months since I deposited naira into my chipper account and the funds can’t be used for anything, not withdrawal, nor card funding, nor betting, airtime, data-purchase nothing at all.

Why would my funds be held hostage while you guys take your fees?

@JOE_Akir For someone outside the programming profession, it’s not a stupid question.

Yet a very irrelevant one for programmers, same paradigm exists for the financial institutions.

[Mr. Bund 🦂⚪️ @bund_cc]

@StanleyAzi The consistency is where the difficulty sets in, for me I’d need worked piled up enough to get into this mode.

I once wrote a webapp that made heavy use of dates.

I couldn’t tell what or where the bug was but stuff just wasn’t right.

[Cavalry! 🏇 @mykeels]

Dates are a wilder beast than you can imagine.

Treat them with respect, enforcing strict rules in your interactions with them, or they will mess you up.

- Don't perform string operations on them.
- Don't write your own date parser.
- Transport them as ISO
- Use a Library

[Mr. Bund 🦂⚪️ @bund_cc]

@_Dinmaa_ It’s all about ergonomic posturing; given that tech as a whole can lead to a sedentary lifestyle.

The lower-back is usually the first to give up after sitting for a while. And almost 😅 no one pays attention to their posture until it matters.
