ISOLATION IS GOOD FOR YOU
Learn to be by yourself. Just you. Alone with your thoughts. Seek useful knowledge. Read old books. Master something valuable. Alone ≠ lonely. Empty your mind. Observe everything from above. Create your own meaning. Solitude is a therapy. Free time. Endless opportunities.
Isolating yourself can be good when you spend that time on things that make you a better person.
While others can’t spend a minute without stimulating themselves with useless noise - you become the embodiment of peace.
No FOMO. Just you, learning what life is.
after you survive this crisis, consider it your second life. work on your dream body, dress up better, achieve that clear skin, go somewhere you’ve never been, cut ties with unnecessary people, do the things you’ve been putting on hold, be kinder to yourself & choose to be happy.

once u stop fantasizing about an ideal version of urself & start working towards it by setting ur alarm clock earlier, working out, reading & stop procrastinating you'll realise that it was so easy all along. ur ideal self will only ever exist in ur mind until u make the decision
what if you just started making decisions from the perspective of the person you want to become? how would they spend their time? what would they say no to? what would they stop tolerating? what would they do when they didn’t feel motivated? you might be surprised how quickly your life starts changing when your decisions stop coming from who you are right now and start coming from who you’re trying to become. so just act like them long enough and eventually it won’t feel like an act.
My therapist once told me:
Get good at bouncing back.
A rough conversation, a bad day, a skipped workout, a choice you regret, none of it has to ruin the rest of your week. You can reset whenever you decide to. You can't change what happened, but you can choose how long you hold onto it.
Everyone is so emotionally intelligent nowadays they completely miss the part where love sometimes means being patient with someone who's still figuring things out. We've learned the language of boundaries and red flags so well we forget that healing doesn't always look pretty or perform well. We live in a time where one wrong text can end a connection and one imperfect moment can brand someone as unsafe. Where protecting your peace is sometimes just avoiding intimacy. We confuse regulation with disconnection, clarity with control, detachment with wisdom. And in doing so we build curated lives filled with people who never challenge our edges and only mirror them. We mistake emotional intelligence for emotional convenience. And then we wonder why everything feels so distant even when we're doing everything right.
I highly recommend having hobbies cause it distracts you from falling in love unnecessarily, and I have an explanation. An ideal mind always mistakes loneliness with love, but busy minds have standards, because when most of your days are filled with things like lifting, creating, reading, learning things like that, you stop chasing people for excitement, because we have a really bad habit of romanticizing every bit of attention that we get. Even if it was not not directed at us with the same intensity of intention, most of the time you are simply wanting something to do.Instead of the feel that you're confusing with wanting. And I strongly believe that best relationships are built when two complete lives meet instead of two bored people who try to become each other's hobby, the interdependence in that situation would create the pressure which finally would become the reason for the eventual breakdown.
someone told me yesterday that when they feel nervous about trying something new & their heart starts beating really fast, that they call it their “inner applause” because their body is cheering them on, and i think that’s the best narrative adjustment ever.
you can literally wake up one day and be like “actually, fuck everything ab my past and the self-sabotaging identity i had” and decide to live an entirely new life and be some1 who always fucking wins. it doesn’t take a feeling or breakthrough moment or epiphany. only a decision.
you really have to train your brain by immediately getting up to do the things you don’t want to do so it starts to believe that hard things don’t bother you
My therapist dropped a gem: you can't spend your life avoiding heartbreak or bad things from happening. You have to condition yourself to have appropriate emotional responses but learn to keep moving forward.
empathy burnout is real. after all these years of understanding the people around you, trying to put yourself on their situation, putting others first before you, and now you're drained and have became indifferent.
