Death entered the region with the arrival of Kagame. Former President Habyarimana was assassinated by the person he sought to make peace with, in the midst of signing peace agreements! After his assassination, the murderer turned around and made himself victim, pursued Habyarimana's family in exile and tormented them with grave accusations in international courts. Habyarimana's wife and children were not allowed to mourn him but instead they were accursed of grave grave crimes. To this day, Kagame puts them at maximum persecution in exile lobbying against them. For the past 30+ years, this family has lived and and survived by the grace of God.
