Under the Congress government, RGHS officials were responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, under the current BJP government, our repeated requests have gone unheard.
Our medical store’s RGHS empanelment was suspended due to a genuine misunderstanding regarding digital prescription norms. We have acknowledged the mistake and repeatedly requested restoration, but received no resolution.
Around 70-100 pensioners and serving employees in our area are affected, with no nearby RGHS-empanelled medical store within 40–50 km.
Why should pensioners suffer because of a misunderstanding?
We urge @RajCMO@officialRGHS@RajGovOfficial to intervene and restore our RGHS services.
Yet another mail from @abhealthin , yet again without any clear justification or supporting evidence. Just “ND for past 4–5 years” — while the actual basis, evidence and alleged non-disclosure remain unclear and undisclosed to the customer.
At this point, are we expected to accept a rejection without being told what exactly was allegedly not disclosed? @BimaBharosaIRDAI
@abhealthin , imagine having your health insurance claim rejected on the ground of “Pre-Existing Osteoarthritis” based on a disputed medical-history entry referring to knee pain from 4–5 years ago. The actual history is very different: that episode lasted only around 10–15 days, completely resolved, and was never followed by any Orthopaedic diagnosis, investigation, Osteoarthritis treatment, or continuing knee-related medical care. For several years thereafter, there was no such knee condition requiring medical consultation. The patient sought medical evaluation only when the present knee problem developed, and the current evaluation identified early Osteoarthritis. So the basic question to Aditya Birla Health Insurance is simple: what exactly was the patient supposed to declare when taking the policy? A disease that had never been diagnosed? A condition she never had, A disease for which there was no investigation, no treatment and no continuing medical record? A subsequent diagnosis cannot retrospectively rewrite a patient’s medical history and convert a resolved episode of pain into a diagnosed Pre-Existing Disease. If Aditya Birla maintains this rejection, please show the actual medical evidence establishing Osteoarthritis before policy inception—not merely an interpretation of an ambiguous entry.
Think twice or thrice before buying health insurance policy from aditya birla health insurance!!
The only thing they focus is on finding bogus reasons to reject every possible claim.

Yet another email from @abhealthin — still no justification, no specific medical evidence, no transparency. Just “we stand by our prior decision.”
My mother’s knee-replacement surgery has already been postponed and she remains in significant pain.
Think twice, or thrice, before buying Aditya Birla Health Insurance. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise people to stay away from this fraud company.
@IRDAIIndia @BimaBharosa please intervene.

They rejected my claim stating discrepancies but when asked they are not providing with the details of discrepancies. Their sole motive is to reject my claim on bogus reasons.
@bunny90265@abhealthin "Exactly @bunny90265 brother! They rejected my ₹3.65L claim too after approving ₹3.15L on portal, and their agent took ₹2000 bribe. No explanations, only template replies. I have served them Consumer Court Summons (Case: DC/119/CC/196/2026)!"
URGENT – HIGH PRIORITY CASE
@abhealthin@KMbirla@AnanyaBirlaX
My mother’s knee replacement surgery was scheduled for 2 October. We travelled from Rajasthan to Gujarat specifically for the surgery, but your unresolved claim decision has now forced us to postpone it.
She is currently in significant pain and is having to take Tramadol for pain management while we wait for your resolution.
For the last 3 days, we have repeatedly called your helpline. Every time, we are given another 1–2 hour escalation timeline, only to face another delay. Mr. Shivam assured us that the case was being escalated and that we would receive a resolution within 1 hour. We are now being told to wait until Monday.
And honestly, this is not a matter of national security that requires days of escalation. From what we have been told, this entire situation appears to have originated from a misunderstanding/mistake that led to the initial rejection. Yet instead of correcting it promptly, we are being made to chase your team repeatedly.
We are now fed up with the endless calls, escalations and changing timelines. I will be taking this matter to relevant influencers/media voices for wider coverage, especially because I also have a recording of your official IVR call in which an internal team member made statements raising serious concerns about how “discrepancies” are allegedly handled.
@IRDAIIndia @BimaBharosa — please treat this as a high-priority matter and intervene.
@abhealthin , please provide the actual substantive resolution by EOD today so that we can proceed with the surgery without further delay.

A patient is waiting in pain while your teams keep moving the timeline. This is not acceptable.
An internal Aditya Birla team member told me: “Sir, please port the policy when the renewal comes. This is happening with many people — claims are being rejected on the basis of discrepancies even when there are allegedly no such discrepancies. And when customers ask what the discrepancies are, they are told that it is the company’s policy not to disclose them.”
And apparently, the advice was: “You better port the policy.”
Quite a remarkable thing to hear from someone inside the company.
If discrepancies are the reason for rejecting a claim, why can’t the customer be told what those discrepancies actually are?
And yes, the call was on the IVR/recorded line.
IRDAI, perhaps this is worth looking into.
It would be rather interesting to see what happens if the alleged “undisclosed discrepancies” are finally examined and the actual basis of these decisions comes out in the open.
Transparency shouldn’t be a company secret.@abhealthin

Yesterday, a senior associate on Aditya Birla Health Insurance’s helpline told me that the claims department was not working due to Gandhi Jayanti, so my resolution would not come that day.
I called again, and another representative told me that the claims department was working.
Same company. Same day. Two completely different answers.
At this point, it feels less like a claim resolution process and more like an exercise in avoiding the case.
If you’re considering buying Aditya Birla Health Insurance, remember the difference between the sales and claims experience: 10–12 calls a day while selling the policy; discrepancies, rejection and silence when you actually need the claim.
