Thinking of my former colleagues at Bell Media. Layoffs are never easy, in fact mine occurred almost three year's ago to the day. The months following weren't easy, but you'll get through it. #letstalk#bellmedia
Sad day for journalism in Canada. When it’s all about money and shareholders, communities will continue to lose their local voices.
To my former Bell Media colleagues, the grass is greener on the other side!

Police arrive to remove freedom protesters from occupying the middle of Wellington St., once police took off, a few protesters went back into the streets. #ottnews
The legendary McDonald’s at 99 Rideau soon closing. Word on the street is it will be replaced by a Spirit Halloween store (unverified) 😆

Monday Jan. 9, last night, several of our seasonal 3-D light pieces were damaged beyond repair. Most disturbing, the person or persons caused great damage to Statue of Joy, a much-loved sculpture that's been on Sparks Street for decades.

@WnIq4szoHE2JlGU That’s easier said than done. How does one protect the 400 series of highways from snow squalls or bad drivers from pileups? How do you weatherproof thousands of KMs of rail lines without spending billions? No infrastructure is going to be perfect.
I like how people are blaming the govt for bad weather issues. My travel plans have been cancelled and it is what it is. The highways are bad, rail infrastructure is damaged. When you choose to travel this time of the year, anything can happen! #ViaRail#Onstorm#wintertravel
Today marks one year that I've been with CBC permanently.
Although I'm still under the weather and not physically at work. I still wanted to highlight the year it's been... and it's been quite a year!
