Made a cherry cake last night and ACTUALLY did all the tedious steps I usually skip (sifting the ingredients, incorporating things in stages, etc.) so by the time it was done it was 2 am and I was too tired to eat it.

@voidaflame Thanks!! I knew I'd be happy whether I got it or not, so although I'm of course a little bit disappointed I didn't get it (that pay raise alone would've been amazing) I was always mentally prepared for either outcome :)

I did not get the manager position, but I'm okay with that! I honestly forgot just how much I love working at the hotel I do, and I don't think I'd like it as much at a smaller hotel, even if I was manager. This just means I have a chance to look for opportunities here instead!
