@heidi_allum Just thinking about the process I thought ...as a young learner, did i ever recognize when I was tuning out, take note of when/what I was thinking about when listening etc. Powerful stuff if you can instill that early

@heidi_allum Maybe chuck/reverse scaffold it. After 1 or 2 read alouds pose that question and see results. What did they notice about hiw they were listening/not listening etc. Have a class discussion about listening strategies/behavior, then engage in more read alouds. Repeat
