@synaesthesiajp I dont see enough blame put on Epic specifically. The need for games to be hyper realistic and the fidelity to break new ground is partly epics fault. Every asset needing to be a computational effect or 4k resolution, animation needing to be mocap.. this all bloats cost and time

All ive said was horizontal progression isnt enough for someone whos played the shit out of the game to come back. And the games design respects the player too much. These are irrefutable

I WISH this game demanded my attention. The devs respect the player TOO much and want you in simply for the love of the game. Unfortunately after 800 hours i simply have had my fill

After coming back to @GuildWars2 for last week or so some takeaways.

- GW2 Story telling is top tier. Even the way it's structured is so easy to follow compared to WoW. New players can come into GW2 and go episode by episode from one window. Where as when a new player starts WoW they kind of don't know where to go and just kinda start from Legion Story ignoring the previous 12 years.

- GW2 World Play/Events literally poops on every other MMORPG. Every hour/minute/second of the day there is some World Boss Event, Meta Event, Random Events going on. With anywhere from 30-300 people on your screen.

- GW2 F2P all way to 80 max level. Boggles my mind how the WoW Trial for new players is literally unchanged for god knows how long. Level 20 is a joke. Every other MMORPG in the market especially from big 5 have HUNDREDS of hours for their free trial.

WoW imho still dominates the dopamine hit of quick and easy gear. As well as dungeons and raids. Big time collections and farms. Hands down.

But WoW can learn a thing or two from GW2 and ESO from World content.

And i could install now and find whatever base character is the strongest and play wvw or conquest just fine and itd be no progression there

@Celtics_fan78 @towelthetank @GuildWars2 I'm missing a lot of story and zones. Yes. But im not missing any progression which i kinda need to come back. Ive done so many fractals and conquest and ive seen recent clips and its the same. The story and new zones would also be more of the same
