Burnt Toast

Posting about stuff I watch and read

With September ending this is what I read throughout the month!

This month I branched out and got some more singles and loved it.

My top three highlights were Doom Patrol, Superman: The Stranger, and Absolute Cassandra Cain, excited for October!

I just noticed Marvel changed their spines for the premiere line… why

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@gitshelfcomics I’m just excited to see Marvel cooking something! I know a lot of fans will compare the two, but I want both to succeed

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

As someone who has only read the Absolute Green Lantern series (I will read Geoff’s run very soon) I loved this series.

I need DC to green light some more A List content and get this universe rolling

[HBO Max @hbomax]

One last wink. #Lanterns

Water Seven is magical. I am so glad I decided to not give up on #OnePiece and read the story through the manga.

When I read the chapter was titled Gear Two I immediately locked in. Seeing the iconic panel in context was amazing

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

#WaterSeven continues to amaze me. Volume 35 was phenomenal. Usopp vs Luffy had such an important vibe to it.

I love how the Going Merry was visualized to have a tear coming out of its eye watching the two fight.

My LCS has been out of stock since this TPB released! Finally found a copy on the shelf!

Love the anthology stories from the first volume. Excited to read this soon!

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@YellowMaskka Haven’t read FF or TWS yet but Planet Hulk was great

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

Have been collecting on and off for years but got back into comics in March!

[Adrián Bishop Cooper @Adriniga]

25 años coleccionando cómics y esta es mi colección actualmente!

@EdmontonOilers @sentinelstorage Please for the love of God make Winnipeg an offer they can’t refuse.

Kicking off October with a follow up to my favourite comic of all time. #Batman The Last Halloween

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@AP3beast How did you like it?

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

I’m ngl I picked up this issue solely to see what Triple H wrote for Spider-Man.

[Marvel Comics @MarvelComicsHQ]

🕸️ “The Big Night” by Triple H, Rob Fee, and Ed McGuinness

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

Finished #TASM #1000 and this was a behemoth of a single issue.

The main story was whatever to me, I liked the panelling in the memories.

The side issues were amazing. The one with Peter in a home had me choked up. Idk if I’ll pull TASM onward, but I enjoyed it!

Happy new comic book day! Picked up Amazing #SpiderMan 1000, Absolute #Flash 1 foil variant, and the second #Daredevil compact!

What did you grab?

#comicbooks

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@Phenomm_ That Erik Larsen variant is so clean! I saw it at my LCS today but decided to just get the main cover

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

Oh come on, it was like 4 pages lmao

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

Marvel Midnight launches in exactly 7 days!

I haven’t pulled much Marvel and even my TPB collection is primarily DC.

Excited to give Marvel a shot. Always wanted to read more X-Men and Fantastic Four and starting off a new universe is a great opportunity!

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@AwWarts Probably my most anticipated compact of 2027

[Burnt Toast @burnedntoasted]

@Shadeogxgreen Sorry, no it isn’t! Cool coincidence though haha!
