Reason #1 ppl often don't 'get' why full day, full-timetable teaching is so tough: The pace.
It's unrelenting. It's not 'Oh, I'll pop to the loo', 'I'll day dream, just for a minute', 'I'll just switch off for the next hour and no one will know' - they will know, you will get found out! It's intense - You must be 'on' ALL the time. That's why it's so hard to sustain, esp in the toughest contexts, because humans need a head rest.
That's why extra PPA is just so, so vital and thee biggest thing that would change so many teacher lives.

Our GCSE Literature girls loved their outing to the Grand Opera House to see “An Inspector Calls”. It was great to see the play come to life on stage and we all thoroughly enjoyed the performance! @gohbelfast
