As aluminum can shipments get disrupted by the conflict, something unexpected is happening in India -- Diet Coke parties are now a rage. Bars and restaurants are cashing in. Revellers are showing up in red and silver, mixing the drink with local spices and jalapeños, and going home with cans as party favours.
One Delhi party ran a raffle where winners took home 50 cans each. Another is charging ₹999 for a "full-blown Diet Coke experience" with burgers, vintage art and custom T-shirt painting.
