Why have TSA pre-check if you still need to be checked anywaxy? I have TSA frequent traveler number. The benefits are not security related but convenience such as shorter lines and not having to separate your items. Point I’m making is they’re telling you they did a thorough background check on you and determined that you are a good citizen and pose little to no risk, but we still need to check you anyway. My belief is they still check everyone so they can’t ever be accused of discrimination. Also why they do ‘random’ extra screening instead of using their training and instinct to identify potential threats.

Industrial logic controllers used in all factories react in 1’s to 10’s of milliseconds and in some cases in terms of microseconds for safety interrupts. GNC loop on Starship likely has similar specs. Blink your eye once and Starship has likely performed all actions 50 times already.

@mattvanswol I agree a day for voting would be great, but no way everyone can get off work to come vote. Just look at how many companies are open on Easter and Christmas. Some factories can’t shut down, gas stations, retail, etc. 😞

My money is on sensors or software parameters as the root cause. No way 2-4 raptors all had mechanical problems.

At this point the hardware is fairly solid. Problems are usually a bad/erroneous sensor/actuator/valve or a harmonic/variable/reading outside the limits set in software. In all fairness to the SpaceX engineers: you don’t know what you don’t know. Can simulate and set parameters you think are correct, but no way to know until you fire it up in real world conditions.

Heard they are replacing 2 of the 4 engines which tells us that hardware was not the problem on at least 2 of the engines. Wish I had more information so I don’t have to speculate. A😉 Anyone know what happened?

I understand your point and agree with much of it.
Time change doesn’t effect me much but my family and colleagues have varying degrees of issues. Many studies about lost job productivity out there as you know.
If folks have issues getting up in morning there are many options such as those alarm clocks with a big room light that change color to simulate sunrise. Etc. I’m simply using this as one example of many options. Even computers and phones have screens that change hue based on sun cycle.
My belief is that we should just pick one time and stick with it and the rest will sort itself out and each person can utilize different tools to help if needed.

@ARealRocketMan @WatchersTank Also, no dance floor platform to perform engine work at pad; must destack and take booster back to bay to perform any engine work. I see as temporary inconvenience as reliability will increase so need to do repairs at pad not needed.

Why 4 engines not start yesterday and only replacing 2? Seems root problem not engine related, but root problem caused engine damage? If problem was with engines then replace all 4; which seems highly unlikely chance 4 engines were all bad and that caused them to fail start up.
Anyone know or have good idea what really failed yesterday? Thanks
