Safaricom fuliza is a sweet scam honestly. We love it but Safaricom is reaping all the benefits. I had a 6111 fuliza balance and when I wanted to pay it, I paid 6141.
So I got curious about the charges

So say I take 6,000 fuliza for June
Principle: 6,000
Access charge : 6,000 * 1% = 60
Access excise duty: 60 * 20% = 12
Daily maintenance : 30 * 30 = 900

Total payment after 30 days = 6,972

An extra 960 (12 is Tax)

(960/6000) * 100 = 16%
