U.S. intelligence agencies now believe Iran was behind a coordinated cyberattack that hit more than 30 municipal water systems in Minnesota this week, that’s according to several U.S. officials who spoke to The Washington Post.

But Trump isn’t buying it. Instead, he blames Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, saying: “I think that Minnesota is behind it. You know who is behind it? Minnesota. Because they’re grossly incompetent. I think the governor is behind it. I don’t think there was an Iranian cyberattack.”

Sound familiar? It’s basically Helsinki all over again. In 2018, Trump stood next to Vladimir Putin and said he believed Putin’s denial rather than the U.S. intelligence community’s assessment that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. election.
