Teacher and avid sports fan trying to deal with being permanently disappointed with the world while juggling marking and a pathological desire to watch sport
Visit to Clifford's Tower as part of our Y10 residential in York. Somehow one of the boys convinced his more gullible mate it was built by Clifford the Big Red Dog. Questioning a lot of decisions right now.
@RootFan66 The acceptance of imperfection and the use of challenges have allowed the system to work better than in other sports. Baffled when anyone suggests changing it
@ATruth52@_Zeets People watch the Olympics. Overwhelming in the UK at least they watch 1. British athletes in any sport. 2. Athletics 3. Gymnastics. I reckon archery gets similar viewing figures to non-medal basket games. No one can name the best archers in the world
@ATruth52@_Zeets They are right. Ask a non basketball fan in Europe to name NBA players and Klay will not come up for many. Even Steph's cut through is less impressive than you would imagine
@NoContextCounty I think KP in his ideological stance forgets that he was in a vastly different stage of his career when he went to the IPL. An established international might well gain more from watching the best a 22 year old with less than 30 FC games might well be different
@jackfrost6272@jimhamilton4 Earl and Dan are later post charges.
Vunipolas came through at Bristol and Wasps. Goode wasn't an England regular. Forgot about Isiekwe
@markgoldbridge Van der Sar also got benched and played for an extended time at Fulham. Not convinced he is truly the original ball playing GK in the modern era either.
