This morning I attended the Annual Community Connection Networking Breakfast hosted by @NPWestchester in White Plains.

Representatives from 300+ nonprofits across Westchester County were in attendance, including executive directors, program leaders, and development officers.

George Latimer also spoke about the critical role nonprofits play in providing services that the private sector often cannot. #Westchester #Nonprofits

Last week I rode @Amtrak along the Northeast Corridor from Westchester County to Boston.

On the return trip I started researching the history of the line and discovered this book, The Northeast Corridor by David Alff. Looking forward to learning more about the NEC! 🚊

Today I took Amtrak from New Rochelle to Boston and back along the Northeast Corridor.

Along the way I saw massive offshore wind turbine blades being assembled at the port in New London — a reminder that the Northeast is investing not only in rail infrastructure, but also in the energy systems of the future.

@RepMTG Nice! We regularly take Amtrak up and down the Northeast Corridor. But a question: when will the U.S. catch up to China, which has a nearly 40,000 mile high speed rail network. That type of infrastructure would certainly make America great.
