I’ve lost several people in my life to drug addiction, particularly meth, and I really want y’all to understand: it is not worth it. Not even once.
Meth is highly addictive, and repeated use can change the brain and create powerful cravings that make quitting extremely difficult. What may start as something recreational can quickly turn into something that consumes your health, relationships, stability, and sense of self.
I’ve watched people I care about die or become almost unrecognizable! Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. The person you knew can become buried underneath the addiction, and the longer it continues, the harder the road back can become.
Please don’t think you’re too strong, too smart, or too disciplined to become addicted. Addiction does not care who you are.
Some experiences simply aren’t worth trying. Meth is one of them.
From faces being revealed under masks, to a 40 year old getting beat on by a 19 year old due to cheating, to exclusive dick comments turning into camera footage of domestic violence being released, to meth allegations.
This is too much. I blame Queen Naija.
What if sex-positive conversations are actually public health work?
I’m not promoting unhealthy behavior. I’m promoting honesty, harm reduction, testing, PrEP, Doxy-PEP, consent, communication, and shame-free conversations that help our community make better choices.
People are already having sex. The question is: are we giving them the tools to do it with care? 🖤
